Holiday Activities nearby
The caves at Peche Merle have real 12,000 year old paintings and you can canoe on the river Cele too. There are tennis courts and swimming pools ( some with chutes ), horse riding, cycling and walking. The GR (grande randonee, a footpath ) 65, one of the pilgrim routes to Santiago del Compostella, is nearby, and offers beautiful ridgetop walks with hostelries for lunch at frequent intervals !
Alternatively step out onto the footpath outside the back gate. It leads on to miles of walking and riding footpaths and tracks. There's fishing on the river Lot ( temporary licence required ).
If you're especially interested in fishing we have a one hectare private camping on Lake Pareloup, the part that is a fish 'Reserve' . Lake Pareloup is 1hr 20 mins away and is big, as big as Poole harbour for example. Seasoned potholers/divers can explore the Ressel, the March Piere & Trocis Madame.
A large selection of leaflets pertaining to local ' attractions ' and restaurant recomendations are to be found in the sittingroom.
Oh ! I nearly forgot to mention the wine! But you probably know all about that anyway.
